Separation (2021)

2/10

(Horror)

I liked the English dude.  The young girl was too sweet.

When the only "good" part was coming, the last 10 minutes, something happened.  I heard a noise somewhere behind and to the side of me, like something fell, but no one was there.  I saw a ball come up like 10 feet into the screen and fall back down, but no one was there to throw it.  I'm pretty sure the whole theater witnessed this.  I left and told someone, and we found a ball.  He threw it away.  I left, and, at the bus stop on the sidewalk/pavement, I heard another little noise like something fell, and there were like lines in the cement though no object.  I called my aunt and informed her of it, as she helps me out with things sometimes since my parents got sick and died.

In the Earth (2021)

6/10

The acting in this movie was very unpleasant.  I learned something I already knew about racism but something new, too.  Pretty much, I don't think people should divert me when I seem European when I'm 50% European-American.  People like to use real Asians, too.  I don't know why Middle Easterners are such a targeted culture for hate.

The Unholy (2021)

8/10

It brings to mind great things to the viewer and the mysterious case of the ghost and her granddaughter?

If they brought the ghost back to its self, the modern times girl can see what people were really like, then, and be fostered towards making a good name for humanity today and "turn back the tide" of "counter culture."

It seems in ghost stories the ghosts always are the protagonist because they don't always get hurt.  However, many other people do.

Mulan (2020)

9/10

It was so nice to see all the Asian/Chinese people.  It went very smoothly.

The people were very nice.  A lot of good work was put into this.  It's like a touching base and nice as a remake.

As a half Chinese, I was really into it, and I hope for more to come.  I wish I could do something Asian.  I'm rarely around other Asians, just my mom growing up and when I was home from college a long time.

The girl who played Mulan was great, so cute!  She really put a lot into this.  It was so fun to get to see her acting.

The Chinese people really care a lot about culture and their traditions and superior ways.  They may be different, darker hair and lighter skin, but to each other they have a past and a history and have recollections that hold them together as a community.

(I have wondered about how I look and if I could look Chinese, but anyway my mom was Chinese-Indonesian, with influence of other cultures I think over 100s of years.  I like all cultures.   I kinda seem Chinese, maybe in a new way? in some ways.  We are all changing and get grouped to certain ends and interests, not always happy but trying to fix it.  I feel most people have a strange mold, though, like Europeans and that I experience living in the US my whole life, Down South.  So, I feel stuck with that, too.  I do want to move from the US, though.  I would like to do something Asian in the US, if possible.  However, I want to move to Germany for classical music and violin.  I like the orchestra a lot and chamber music.  I still like Asian things.  Germany tries to show interest in Asians, too.  I hope someday I can join an Asian community, like a martial arts place where I live, for example, though I'm going to move to a group home in the New Orleans area for now, and they have a college I'm enrolled to start in.  Also, I bet to be Asian you can share other cultures, as well, if you try hard and have the right things.  It is strange being mixed heritage but also rewarding in multiple ways, though yea it is something to not be all one culture, where being all Asian etc. might seem strong and attractive.)

Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)

4/10

The dragon was cute, but I was disturbed and distracted by it as a person.  The feeling didn't come back to me.  They seemed to be going for ^iconic^ figures.  The fighting was immature.  The redeeming/saving quality was comic relief of new people "jumping on the bandwagon" and being good friends.  It seems the comedic hype like this in animations is dying down yet solidifying from the past.  Great job on the art!  🎨

Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

4/10

For me, the iconic work put into that culminated and turned into Godzilla has been my favorite.  All I wanted was to hear lots of noise and see Godzilla breathe fire.  The story itself revolved around such desires, but most of it was spiritual.  I liked the little girl's toy Kong she made.  The cast was interesting.  It was intelligent to make Godzilla sort a comic relief bad guy turned good.  It sure took a lot to portray the intense relationship King Kong had with the young Asian-American girl and how he had a heart in general.  I like how at the end King Kong a roared, like the dinosaurs in Jurassic movies.  Good work on the CGI!  😘

EDIT: King Kong roared, not Godzilla.
